Three recent Hindi movies

Last night I saw two Hindi movies and today morning I saw another: Jaan-e-Maan, Dor and Khosla ka Ghosla. I expected a lot from these movies, and they were nice indeed. I was particularly looking for Dor, since it was directed by talented director Nagesh Kukonoor (Three Diwaree, Iqbal), When I found all these three movies in a single DVD, I felt I have won my day!

Now why Jaan-e-Maan? I don't like Salman, I don’t like Preety and I don't like the director either. I watched this movie just for Akshay Kumar, of whom I have become a fan lately. I have found him really impressive when he plays a comic role. In fact, he seems to be the strongest comedy actor to me with that peculiar sound of laughter. Its amazing that once disgusting Akshay has become my most favorite actor in course of time! I haven't missed any of his recent flicks, so Jaan-e-maan was on my list from the very first commercial. He starred in Priyodorshan's upcoming film 'Vaagam Vaag'; can't wait to watch that in DVD!

Another important point of Jaan-e-Maan was the song 'hamko Malum hay, Isq masoom Hay'. I can rate it as a rare masterpiece that can be compared only to Lata’s Prime time performance. At first I mistook the voice and it seemed like I am hearing Lata/Asha. I think it is Sunidhi chouhan actually, and she stole my heart completely at that very moment.

Khosla Ka Ghosla is a good movie and there is a rocking song 'Ye Duniya'. I liked this movie too. But the movie that touched my heart and would like to recommend to everyone is 'Dor'. Screenplay and directed by Nagesh Kukonoor, this is a story of two females of two totally different geographic location. The movie starts in Kashmir and I must say, Kashmir never looked prettier than this before! I am Surprised to see the breathtaking locations of Kashmir and feeling a strong urge to visit as soon as possible. One of the heroines of the movie is Gul Panag. After all these years I finally fall in love with someone, she looked exactly like the lady I always dream! If someone asks me what type of woman you would seek as my life partner, I will straightly point a finger to the character Zeenat (Gul Panag). First was Meenal Jain, now this lady…God, what is happening with me? Am I becoming a freak fan?

Cinematography and set location of Dor is very nice. Background music and acting are also praiseworthy. Dor is highly recommended if you are looking for some really good time pass.
