Pixar, abetted by the talented Brad Bird ('The Incredibles'), outdistances and outdoes itself with 'Ratatouille' a bizarrely eccentric, richly inventive and altogether droll piece of computer animation. Would it be redundant - or too premature - to also call it the best film of the year? So what, It is.

Just Finished Rear window, A movie I bought few days before. the DVD compilation of Hitchcock classics had 3 more movies and ‘The trouble with Harry’ is one of them. I have already seen that movie, and I was very in terested to see ‘Rear window’, after the comments I read about it in websites. Rear window is an ultimate Hitchcock classic, gives us a glimpse into the mind of Alfred Hitchcock with super story-telling and cinematography, though it entirely takes place within the confines of a claustrophobic New York Greenwich Village apartment, the windows of the neighbors across the way, and a courtyard that separates the buildings.

Yesterday was Friday. During the workdays of last week, I wished I could sleep a bit longer each morning. Getting up at 7 AM is not easy everyday, at least for me. After 4 years of job life, I still could not develop this simple adjustment. Though I am not a ‘sleep-like-dead’ type guy and I can hardly prolong my sleep to 8 AM, yet this one hour adjustment seems like the toughest routine to me. So, since Friday is the only available holiday for me, naturally I hoped for a bit longer sleep yesterday. Result? 6:20 AM.

In this year’s Oscar, I noted a movie has been nominated from Mexico. I always love to watch movies of Mexican directors for their brilliance in visually rich tales with poignant relationships between characters. This year, the film that topped among the top 5 foreign movies in the Oscar race was actually directed by a Mexican director, but it is set after the Spanish Civil War during 1944. Still I was interested to watch it as soon as I can get it. Last Day I bought it and skipped my gym to see it in the first place. The name of the movie is, “Pan’s Labyrinth”.

Last night I saw two Hindi movies and today morning I saw another: Jaan-e-Maan, Dor and Khosla ka Ghosla. I expected a lot from these movies, and they were nice indeed. I was particularly looking for Dor, since it was directed by talented director Nagesh Kukonoor (Three Diwaree, Iqbal), When I found all these three movies in a single DVD, I felt I have won my day!
