High Thoughts

9th April

I was in my office in the 9th April. I knew that it is the birthday of someone I know, who is none other than my best friend’s sister. Whilst I was particularly keen to wish her at the morning, I was anxious not to offend her mood on this joyous day. We had a bitter relation in the past where blame should mostly account on my part. So I did not see any reason for her to feel good in talking with me on the birthday.

Mera dil bechain hay hamsafar ke liye

I am not sure how many of my friends wake up in the everyday morning and anticipate a change would come to their daily life. But I do wish it every day, and every night I dream of a change may occur in next day in my life. I lead no monotonous life, and I don’t do repeated work in my job. I do attend gym, study for myself, design web application as consultant, play latest PC games and watch recent flicks on DVD always, everyday. Like last one week, I did not even have time to sleep or watch TV for 5 minutes. But still, life means so charmless at times that I lose the hope and anticipation to step to the next day.

Staying in the Cadet College

Yesterday (09/02/07) I was in my cadet college. Actually I passed my night in cadet college! after 9 years from passing out, this is my first night at college. I arrived at college at 3:30 PM and planned that I will come back within 5 PM. But Inside, what I saw was surprising. there must be 800/900 people inside the program arena. I found 80% of my classmates there, including my one of the closest friends Monjur and Shahriar (of course I am not considering those who were out of the country or cut contacts with cadet college.)

Some stories and Shafiq’s mom

Few days before my mom told me a true story of a lady whom she knew for long from my dad's village. That woman was suffering from mental disorder (she could not recognize people) and eventually disappeared one day. The day she was lost, his son became literally mad and looked for her in almost in every village in whole district. Every day used to wait at the doorsteps anticipating his mother. After one and half year, a fellow villager came to Dhaka and while crossing Asad-Gate, saw that mother begging in the street. She recognized that guy and cried a lot and told everything about the tortures the 'beggar agents' exerts on her. She almost became skin and bone since they would allow her only 1 meal per day.

Just My Luck

Few days back, I saw a movie named Just My Luck. Plot is very interesting, a girl, who came with all the luck in the world, meets with a boy who is amazingly unlucky in a costume party. They kiss each other and their luck swaps. At the end, after chasing the boy for a long time, the girl finds that she can get her good luck back, leaving the poor guy in the same insanely out of luck condition.
