Uttara to Farmgate

Last day I had a business meeting in Dhaka, so I had to leave office at half past twelve for Farmgate. While I reached New Airport (Northern entry point of Dhaka) with in 40 minutes, it took almost 100 minutes to reach Farmgate, which I believe 20 KM far at best. This reminds me what a country we are living in! First I was very annoyed with the jam in front of Prime minister’s office, and then I realized that there is nothing we or Govt can do. They are too many cars and buses (every bus is double loaded) for the roads to handle. I feel sorry for those who live in Uttara and attend office in Motijheel.

Since I work outside of the capital, I was quite unfamiliar with this jam. Gazipur, where I work, is even more polluted place than Dhaka, but roads are almost free. And in the morning and late evening, when the pollution is less, we actually get to see nice countryside and enjoy very pleasant breeze through bus window. So I guess, there are many many disadvantages of working outside Dhaka, but at least its better than working at Motijheel from Uttara.

Nazworld.com lunched officially

After 20 days of coding checking and finishing touch, the site is now all set to go in public. During the testing time, I was impressed with the performance of fire fox and Opera compared to Internet Explorer. Those who are still using Internet explorer, my advice is- switch now!

Just My Luck

Few days back, I saw a movie named Just My Luck. Plot is very interesting, a girl, who came with all the luck in the world, meets with a boy who is amazingly unlucky in a costume party. They kiss each other and their luck swaps. At the end, after chasing the boy for a long time, the girl finds that she can get her good luck back, leaving the poor guy in the same insanely out of luck condition.

New learning in life

Today I was watching a movie ‘Click’ and suddenly I came upon to a dialogue. The main point of the dialogue was when someone makes an offending comment about you, it is better if you think before returning back what he deserves. If he has his own problems, and got less than you in life, you should not act mean by returning abusive comments towards him.

5 songs from Lata Mangeshkar

Lata Mangeshkar can express love in a way that no other voice on this earth can. Just with one note, one word and she says so much! Selecting five out of thousands of gems is an impossible task. However, these are the songs that are closest to my heart.

New realization

Today I learnt a new thing. It’s not good to share some other’s secret, not even with our closest one. In fact I don’t care if some one shares my secret with his closest one because I always assume that he will eventually share it to someone.

Naz Goes Gandibadi

guess many of us have seen Ben Kingsley’s (pardon my spelling) 'Gandhi'. And recently we have another movie about Gandhi, Lage Raho Munna Vai. Though I am not sure how this Hindi movie was, but this movie certainly created a stir in India. People are now talking about Gandhibadi theme and whether it is realistic in 21st century. I don't know much about Gandhi, But I Feel like following this Gandhibadi theme. I am deeply impressed how Mr. Gandhi worked with his own strange way of defense, and since the English left India at his time, that proves that his methods are effective.

Gandhibadi means you will give love in return of hate and present good wishes in return of torture. And one day, after your such behavior, the repetition of torture will be slowed down and eventually the enemy will be ashamed of his behavior. Mr. Gandhi also says that if you enter into the truth, you are safe; telling truth is the biggest shield. So in my opinion, this Gandhibadi theme may work for us, at least for me. This coming week, I will try Gandibadi for one week. Let's see how it turns out. I will post the result of this experiment in today’s world after the end of this week.
