Last night I saw two Hindi movies and today morning I saw another: Jaan-e-Maan, Dor and Khosla ka Ghosla. I expected a lot from these movies, and they were nice indeed. I was particularly looking for Dor, since it was directed by talented director Nagesh Kukonoor (Three Diwaree, Iqbal), When I found all these three movies in a single DVD, I felt I have won my day!

Taken from the blog of Istiaque, I really liked these lines and want to share with everyone. A few days ago, I told a friend that I always try to follow a theory in life. These are like personal revelations; I handle, and think about these things with utmost caution. It did happened a couple of times, when I confessed that I have a liking for a particular thing, or I possess a particular skill, only to see my likings changing their paths or the skills fading away. So I am not very sure how long I will be staying with this particular theory. But until it lasts, I think it is a good thing.

This wonderful post is taken from Tanazzum’s blog, one of my classmate from IBA. Hope you like it. The other day a friend of mine forwarded this e-mail which was about being twenty something, and being scared and unhappy and confused, not a very cheerful mail for us twenty somethings. The first thing that I thought when I was reading that mail was that maybe this friend of mine was not very happy herself … then I thought it’s just a mail, but then I took a look around at my friends and at myself and try figure out if it was really scary and confusing or not.

I passed one of my best eid in this vacation. Since I was trying to save money for my upcoming big investment (in Studies, of course), I assumed that this eid might be a dull one due to lack of shopping. I bought almost nothing for me and my mom. Thankfully, my friend Tania scolded me and made me buy two sarees for my mom which, I must say, she liked very much. Some of her neighbors also told her that I have good sense of choosing sarees (good for me!). So, definitely I was not planning a colorful Eid. But I got it all wrong.

Last night I saw 3 Indian Bengali film, Shunno-e-Buke, Ek Mutho Chobi and Hothat Neerar Jonno. Needless to say, Subroto Sen’s Hothat Neerar Jonno is as disgusting as his earlier films. But other two films, Specially Shunno-e-Buke seemed to be interesting. I liked this film though I can not say that it was brilliant effort. The plot moves over 4 artists who, examining the voluptuous female figure of Khajuraho, settle down to the fact that ideal Bengali female must have attractive framework. Situation gets a twist when they find their dream goddess in that very moment in Khajuraho, and inevitably one of the artists falls in love.

Few days before my mom told me a true story of a lady whom she knew for long from my dad's village. That woman was suffering from mental disorder (she could not recognize people) and eventually disappeared one day. The day she was lost, his son became literally mad and looked for her in almost in every village in whole district. Every day used to wait at the doorsteps anticipating his mother. After one and half year, a fellow villager came to Dhaka and while crossing Asad-Gate, saw that mother begging in the street. She recognized that guy and cried a lot and told everything about the tortures the 'beggar agents' exerts on her. She almost became skin and bone since they would allow her only 1 meal per day.
