Disk Defragment made easy

Until today, I have never tried any 3rd party disk defragment tools, built-in windows was just ok for me. My favorite utility program is Ace utilities and it does all I need, except hard disk maintenance. However, yesterday while browsing a forum, I read a lot of praises about a defragment software: Auslogics Disk defragmentor. curious as I should be, I downloaded it free from the developer’s website (its a free software!) and had a test run. I was simply amazed with the level of performance! Anyone who is familiar with windows knows how annoying the the built-in defragmentor is; whereas this piece of software works like a charm! I recommend it to everyone.

A New Pack Design

Few days before, I created a new pack design for one our Premium product - SuperJet. It is a detergent powder that falls in high price segment. Personally I think the color and the design is high contrast to available products in the market. Hopefully you can get it in superstores and shops of the metropolitan area within a short time. I will personally recommend this detergent powder to everyone, have been highly impressed with the survey result.

Meril-Prothom Alo Award 07

Fortunately I was present in this biggest showbiz event in Bangladesh- Meril Prothom Alo Award giving ceremony 2007. It held on Friday evening, 13th April. I am glad to watch and talk with Sohana Saba, apparently the next biggest screen star in Bangladesh. She got Best Actress award in Film Category for a flick I would never watch for names like Kobori attached at the director’s slot. Still, when Sohana saba walked in the guild, with black sari and sleeveless top, I was stunned with her presence and smartness, and it did not take long for me to take her side in upcoming announcement for top actress.

Pohela boisakh

I had a very good Pohela Boisakh (new year in bangladeshi calender) this year; thanks to my Warid Telecom friend, this could not be any better. we stayed at the DU up to 3PM, and I must say, this was the biggest crowd over my living eyes! I certainly feel that we should have such festivals more and more each year not only one. Apart from the fun and all that, one thing did not skip from my mind- there were thousands of girls wearing saris and all of them are red colored but no two saries are same! How come they find so different designs where Bangladesh have only few sari companies? In production philosophy, a certain design should be produced 4000/5000 pcs to recover time and creativity charges. And also who are these designers doing so many designs? how they get so many concepts in same theme? Is Bangladesh such a profitable market already that so many variant saries are produced aiming this middle income- fewest festival nation?

“Meri duniya mein”: A hindi song

Today I have been able to collect a song which I was looking for a long time. The song is from a hindi movie Heer Ranjha. I was in class Eight when We, me and my brother heard this song. Amused and vibrated by this song, I tried to make everyone from our cricket team hear it when we had team meeting in my house. Though I was not sure how many of them liked, I convinced to myself that my team mates don't have good taste in music. I lost this cassette many years back.

Since this song is not popular and not from recent time, only a handful may have actually heard it here in Bangladesh. The song starts with this line with a very subtle melody 'Meri duniya mein tum ayee', and the rhythm remains same throughout the song. Very romantic, very delicate and very sweet song indeed. I like it very mush and hope you will also like it. I am not sure but I guess it was sung by Md. Rafi and Lata.

9th April

I was in my office in the 9th April. I knew that it is the birthday of someone I know, who is none other than my best friend’s sister. Whilst I was particularly keen to wish her at the morning, I was anxious not to offend her mood on this joyous day. We had a bitter relation in the past where blame should mostly account on my part. So I did not see any reason for her to feel good in talking with me on the birthday.

26th March- another holiday

Yesterday was a holiday and I was practically on the bed till 1:30 noon. Then I put a DVD in the computer and tried to watch Nishabd, a Hindi film starring Amitabh Bachchan, which took like eternity. It was very annoying movie which was even difficult to fast forward. Some of my precious time was killed for this movie. I was so disgusted that I went to bed again and woke up in the late afternoon. I felt lot better. This was first time in this month to have a nap in the noon, which I always love. I went to the gym; naturally I don’t go to gym on holidays. At 7 PM I was out of the gym and still the whole night was in front of me. I called Jackson Rana and went to his home for may be first time in three months. I stayed there for 4 hours and we had very good gossiping. I always enjoy my stay in Rana’s home, since he is also PC games crazy. We played some games there before I came back to my home at 12 AM. Over all it was a good lazy day yesterday.
